Musikmesse 2009: Day 1 (2 days before actual fair)

What a cold and windy weather Frankfurt is having! After touchdown, we had some breakfast and then head over to our booth to set up. Here's some pictures to share, can't wait for our artiste Nibs van der Spuy who is arriving later!

Nothing beats a Risenbradwurst and a pint of German beer as a refresher!

Get Singapore on the Roadside

I found it quite a surprise to see pictures of myself hung at street lamps along orchard road and outside VIVO city. The "makeover" shots looks not too bad =)

Maestro Guitars is part of the GET SINGAPORE intiative organised by SPRING Singapore and we are very excited and happy to be part of this intiative to promote locally designed/manufactured products. The conjugation of various Singapore brands has comforted me that I am not alone in telling the world that well-designed and made in Singapore products are just as good or if not better than our counterparts from established countries.

The keyword I mention here is "Well-Designed" not just any mom and pop store that claims their product is from Singapore by naming it after his son or cheesy derivative of their shop name but I am sure the discerning crowd will know how to differentiate the "Real" well-designed Singapore brand.

Minister Lee Yi Shyan have mentioned a Singapore brand must be innovative and reliable and I strongly believe Maestro Guitars have these characteristics and we will continue to innovate and create new breakthroughs in our field of expertise and eventually make the little red dot brighter on the world map!

Product updates for Mar 09

Dear friends of Maestro,

To add to our plethora of quality strings, we have now brought GHS boomers, Burnished nickel and White Bronze acoustic/electric strings. The GHS is a staple string for many electric players and the burnished nickel is well suited to players who like to nail that vintage sound. The white bronze strings have outstanding performance for both magnetic and piezo pickups making them well suited to both electric and acoustic guitars.

Due to occassional demand, we have also brought in Steinberger double ball end strings in gauges 9s and 10. Get them before they run out. For acoustic guitars, we now have Red strings by Everly. What's special about them is the copper/bronze alloy which provids better projection, articulation and a warmer tone.

On the fashion front, we have launched out new Maestro T shirt. With its new retro look, its time to incorporate it into your wardrobe. Prices are $9.90 for non-members and a special price of $3 for members.
